A getaway such as this deserves a home that welcomes you the moment you arrive. “Playing Hooky” is a custom-built home comfortably furnished with professional detail. The reverse floor plan provides a bright, open living & dining area; featuring Australian cypress hardwood floors, Tommy Bahama furnishings, granite & stainless steel fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, powder room, built-in surround sound and vaulted ceilings. Also on the second floor is a master bedroom with a queen bed, armoire, sitting area, private toilet, walk-in shower, his & her sinks, closets and a private deck entrance. The full length second level deck is accessible from all rooms. It is a great sunny spot to kick back, relax and enjoy the bald head sunsets – while listening to your favorite tunes on the outdoor speakers.
The front entrance has Italian stone hallway floors that continue into a private den ideal for reading, movies or video games. The den has glass French doors which can be closed making it a perfect, optional 5th bedroom. The den includes a pull out couch. The remaining 4 bedrooms include: one queen ensuite master with a private rocking porch, his & her sinks, large walk-in closet, sitting area and access to the rear screened-in-porch; the second bedroom has two twin beds ideal for children; and the third bedroom has a queen-size bed with a sitting area, a large private rocking porch and access to the rear screened-in-porch. This floor has the convenience of the 3rd full bath and laundry room. The full length screened porch is a wonderful area to unwind, listen to music and let children play. Both the screened porch and the upper deck enjoy picturesque views of the 4th hole and surrounding lagoon.
Other amenities include: backyard grill, outdoor shower, hammock, twin golf cars, beach chairs, umbrellas, bicycles, scooter, boogie boards, two kayaks, 5 TV/VCR/DVD players, crib, toddler bed, high chair, child proofing, fully equipped kitchen, bath towels, linens, cleaning supplies as well as paper and plastic supplies, games, high speed internet, books, toys and activities for children.
Temporary Memberships
Temporary memberships are available to the Bald Head Island Club. Membership to the club gives you access to the golf course, croquet greenswards, tennis courts, swimming pool, fitness center, volleyball, children's play area, dining room and lounge.
Temporary memberships are available for the Shoals Club. The Shoals Club has a pool, hot tub, children's pool, wooden boardwalk to the public access on East Beach, offers towel service at the pool, and chairs and umbrellas for the beach. The 10,000 sq. ft. Clubhouse has a dining room, fitness room, locker rooms, and wraparound porches from where you can watch the sun rise and set over the ocean.
